This adaptive reuse project creates a greenhouse, food hub, and community hall while preserving existing structures and materials. It reflects the plant cycle from seed to harvest to compost.
Concrete blocks from the old slabs are reused as a thermal mass wall that stores and releases heat to stabilize indoor conditions. The design avoids mechanical systems by emphasizing passive solar gain and natural ventilation.

A south-facing greenhouse captures sunlight, while an insulated north volume reduces heat loss. A central thermal core supports passive airflow, keeping the space comfortable year-round. The result is a sustainable, community-focused building shaped by reuse and natural systems.

Navigating life’s intricate fabric, choices unfold paths to the extraordinary, demanding creativity, curiosity, and courage for a truly fulfilling journey.
